Inegöl köfte or meatballs of Inegöl were first introduced to the Turkish cuisine by Balkan immigrants, particularly a man named Ibrahim Besler who migrated to Bursa from Pazardzhik, Bulgaria. This small grilled variety of meatballs was first sold in the 1930's under the name of Inegöl Köftesi in a small shop opened by Besler in Bursa.
